My name is Rebecca Laundrie Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I moved here from California when I was 14 after, my dad retired from the Air Force and the whole family, moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin .I lived in Green Bay until I got married and moved to Denmark in 2017. I married my husband Eric and I gained a great son Jade and a wonderful daughter-in-law Randi and two beautiful grand-baby girls Mira and Freya. I try to look at life on the positive side and be a light but during the epidemic of 2020 I realized that working a 9-5 job was not what was really making me shine. After thinking things over also discussing with my husband and praying about my future and life goals, and realizing that I was no spring chicken anymore and the physical demands of a 9-to-5 job we’re just taking me down health wise, I made a huge decision. To leave the people that I like and the job, that was stressful and do something that makes me happy. My dad Always said “I would know when the time was right” well a few months ago the time was right. So the short version is I worked a lot of 9-5 jobs that were not rewarding or inspiring, I usually got reprimanded for talking too much but now that I am at sales representative at The Denmark News, I actually get paid to talk and do what I like. My friends have always said I could sell ice to an Eskimo, so God placed me in the right place, Denmark is a small community. Everybody knows everybody and I am very honored and very blessed to be working at the Denmark News. I will continue to let my light shine in this dark world as long as God keeps me here.
