WHO Says Beef Is Bad?
Curing meats has been as much a part of the human fabric as civilization itself. Using smoking methods and/or salts has been part of preserving meat as far as anyone can remember; it dates back to as early as 3000 BC in the Roman Empire. Meat preservation innovation was an integral part of European survival before advanced refrigeration. With harsh winters and an urban population to supply, finding ways to preserve food literally was the difference between life and death.

Denmark Volleyball Tops Two Rivers

Denmark Football Prepares for Final Game
By Alex Strouf, The Denmark NewsFollowing a tough 26-21 loss at the hands of Green Bay East at home last week, the Denmark Vikings football team are preparing for their final game as a team on the road. The Vikings will travel to Oconto Falls this Friday to wrap things up and hope to improve on their 2-6 record.This game will be a fun one to watch, due to both offenses running a version of the triple option.

Denmark Girl's Golf Falls Short
By Alex Strouf, The Denmark NewsThe Denmark Lady Vikes golf team took part in sectional action in Kaukauna at Fox Valley Golf Course on Monday, October 5th, facing off against some of the best teams in the state with a trip to state on the line. This comes after the Lady Vikes took second place in Milwaukee last Wednesday, as they punched their ticket to sectionals. Sectionals was not their goal, though, state was.

Bielinski, Hansen, Jisa, Chada Take Home All-Conference Honors
By Alex Strouf, The Denmark NewsThe Denmark Lady Vikes golf team participated in the annual conference meet on Wednesday, September 23rd, which consisted of all teams in the newly-formed North Eastern Conference.Denmark took second place in the NEC, which they've seen several times this season behind a solid Fox Valley Lutheran squad.Senior Lyndsey Bielinski led the way for the Lady Vikes, shooting her way to a second team All-Conference spot.
