An exciting event is coming to the Village of Denmark this September, and it is shaping up to be a wild ride. On September 26, the first-ever Denmark Dash 920 will take to the streets with a high-intensity, downhill race through town as the main event and so much more to enjoy while celebrating all things Denmark.

As of the date of this publication, the bridge on County Highway KB crossing the Nehota River is closed to traffic as crews begin a reconstruction project on the aged infrastructure.

Last month, six local young people ventured to our nation’s capitol to compete in this year’s National Catholic Forensic League (NCFL) Grand National Tournament where they tested their performance skills alongside other top performers in the country.

Last Thursday, The Denmark Community Golf League saluted their own longtime members for over 50 years of participation. That night, Dave Bielinski, Ken Storzer and Karl Johansson were recognized by their fellow golfers for their five decades of commitment to the local league.

Mishicot High School has a limited population of 276. That number is the number of students cared about and valued by staff and community members. Although the district is overall smaller than surrounding schools, that does not create limitations. High school seniors from the Class of 2026 have explained having a small school has benefited them more than they could’ve ever thought.

Earlier this month, a local woman traveled to Washington, D.C., to meet face to face with lawmakers and advocate for legislative action in the fight against Alzheimer's.  From June 1 through 3, Suzanne Koss was part of a national delegation that traveled to the capitol as part of this year’s Alzheimer’s Impact Movement (AIM) Advocacy Forum.

During last week's monthly meeting of the Village of Denmark Board of Trustees, leadership from the Brown County Sheriff's Department was in attendance to assuage some concerns about vehicle recognition cameras located within the municipality and throughout the county.

For our first-ever June Dairy Month issue of The Denmark News, we wanted to feature a local family dairy farm we believe showcases the character, values and spirit that make operating such a venture possible. Luke Wavrunek is a fifth generation dairy farmer and has been at the helm of Fairview Pastures for just over five years now, producing milk on the same farm he grew up on.

On Sunday, thousands flocked to Tinedale Farms in Wrightstown for an annual tradition celebrating local dairy producers. That morning, the large farm hosted this year’s Brown County Dairy Promotion’s Breakfast on the Farm featuring a delicious dairy breakfast as well as a range of activities for all to enjoy.
