On Thursday, Denmark Connects welcomed volunteers and supporters to the Denmark Community Activity Center for a special dinner celebrating the group’s recent impacts. That night, they hosted their first ever “Ripple Effects” event at the center featuring food, socialization and reflection. The Denmark News was in attendance to learn more.

After attendees enjoyed a delicious spaghetti dinner, Julie Filapek of NeighborWorks Green Bay began the night’s presentation. Filapek explained she had been working with Molly Arneson and Andy DiMezza since August through a grant program and introduced the Grant Administrator Hellen Samson who attended the event via zoom. Filapek then presented a list of all the events and initiatives Denmark Connects had facilitated in the past six months and explained each.

Filapek then encouraged all in attendance to write their own ripple effects on large pieces of paper that each contained a different Denmark Connects initiative or event. Once they were filled out, the group discussed each and brainstormed ways the organization could build on their progress.

The first-ever Denmark Connects Ripple Effects event was a great success and an awesome opportunity to reflect on their impact and their direction moving forward.
