The Mishicot Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) put together a smoothie bowl fundraiser for the week of December 8-12 . Each smoothie bowl was five dollars and came with three toppings with an additional fifty cents per topping chosen after the three. There were options of granola, honey, peanut butter, strawberries, bananas, and blueberries.
The fundraiser ran Monday, Thursday—with there being no school on Wednesday—and Friday. It was open to all students and staff inside the Mishicot High School, and the proceeds were donated to the Children’s Advocacy Center.
This was the first time Mishicot FCCLA has held the smoothie bowl fundraiser, but they hope to do it again later in the school year, as it was a great success. The amount raised is not certain yet, as the Mishicot FCCLA team is still working to calculate the profit and subtract the cost of the ingredients. Staff and students were extremely happy with the results of their smoothie bowls, and many hope the fundraiser occurs in the near future.
