DENMARK HISTORY - Public registers no opposition to 141 bypass in 1956

In the 1950s, the United States continued improving its highway system. Part of these improvements included building bypasses so highways would go around small cities and villages instead of right through their downtowns. While this removed people from downtowns, it provided a better and safer travel option for motorists.
