Freedom defense shuts down high-powered Tigers in 70-54 win

WRIGHTSTOWN – The Wrightstown High School boys’ basketball team will have to wait at least one more game to claim a conference crown following a 70-54 loss at Freedom on Thursday night. The Irish (12-4) avenged an earlier nine-point loss to the Tigers (14-2). The setback, combined with Marinette’s cruise past Clintonville, whittled the Tigers’ lead to one game with two left. Wrightstown can claim at least a share of the league crown with a win at home against Waupaca on Monday.
