Position
Office Manager
Pam Watzka started with The Denmark News in September of 2017. Pam grew up in Langes Corners, which is just outside of Denmark and graduated from Denmark High School. In 1989, she and her two young children rented a house in Denmark, and, after graduating from college in 1990, she bought a home just down the road from the house she was renting, and she’s been here ever since.
Pam worked as a receptionist at The Blind Shoppe (a window covering company) while in college. Upon graduation, she was hired by Shade/Allied, Inc., as a machine transcriptionist. It was there she met her husband, John, with whom she had her third child. When Shade/Allied, Inc. was bought by a company in Texas, Pam was hired as an administrative assistant at an engineering firm in Green Bay but decided on a bigger challenge--stay-at-home mom, which she enjoyed--mostly--for 13 years. Pam decided then it was time to get back into the workforce and started thinking of a part-time job. It was around that time when the former Office Manager, Karen Nelson, retired from The Denmark News, so Pam applied for the job before it was posted and has been here ever since.
