Denmark Legion scores in extras to post win

FREEDOM – The Denmark varsity Legion baseball team had just one game last week but it made the most of it.

An extra-inning hit in the eighth inning from Cade DeLarwelle that scored Ozzie Enz was all that separated Denmark from Freedom as the Denmark Legion scored the 1-0 win on the road.

Denor competes at Nike National Track Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Just a couple of weeks after finishing second in the state in the WIAA Division 2 Track and Field Championships in the 100 meters, Denmark graduate Ella Denor was off to Oregon to compete against the nation’s best at the Nike Outdoor Nationals Meet in the Emerging Elite class.

Denmark JV Legion team goes on the road to Freedom

FREEDOM – The Denmark JV Legion baseball team managed to split with Freedom on Friday, June 19 at the Freedom Tournament.

In the opener, Denmark defeated Freedom 16U by a 5-3 final.

Devilbears split in Shoreland League action

DENMARK – In the first rematch of last year’s Shoreland League championship series the Denmark Devilbears came out on top again, shutting out the Casco A’s and winning the league contest 5-0.

Vikings earn all-conference honors for spring sports

DENMARK – The North Eastern Conference recently announced its all-conference selections in three spring sports. The Denmark Vikings were well represented in earning spots on all three teams.

On June 6 and 7, over two dozen Denmark students made their way out to Nekoosa in central Wisconsin to compete in this year’s Wisconsin State High School Clay Target League Trap Shooting State Tournament.

Denmark Community Golf League recognizes members of 50+ years

Last Thursday, The Denmark Community Golf League saluted their own longtime members for over 50 years of participation. That night, Dave Bielinski, Ken Storzer and Karl Johansson were recognized by their fellow golfers for their five decades of commitment to the local league.

Denmark 9U claims gold in Brillion tournament

The Denmark 9U baseball team won the Brillion tournament championship this weekend with an undefeated run. Denmark defeated Kaukauna and host Brillion to reach the title game then topped Kewaunee to secure the championship. Strong pitching, timely hitting, and solid defense helped Denmark earn wins over all three opponents and bring home the gold. Congratulations to the Denmark 9U players, coaches, and families on a great tournament victory.

The Denmark baseball team took advantage of both on Tuesday afternoon to beat Marinette 2-0 in a WIAA regional semifinal that advances the Vikings to today’s regional final at Little Chute beginning at 4:30 p.m.
