Denmark Youth Wrestlers make impressive showing at state

On March 14 and 15, the Denmark Wrestling Club competed in this year’s Wisconsin Wrestling Federation Kids Team State Tournament in Wisconsin Dells. The local wrestlers made an impressive showing with the 3rd-5th Grade Team placing 3rd out of 16 teams and the 6th-8th Grade Team placing 7th out of 16 teams. Congratulations boys! Nolan Larsen became the 28th wrestler in Denmark program history to finish third place or better at the WIAA State Individual Tournament when he defeated Isaac Briggs of Saint Croix Falls 8-2 on Saturday in the third-place match at 165 pounds.
