DENMARK –The Denmark Vikings started slow in their season opener but once they got rolling late in the first period they never stopped, piling up more than 500 total yards and pulling away for a 38-27 win over Shawano on Friday night in Denmark.

It was fourth-year head coach Tom Neuman’s first season-opening victory at Denmark.
