Hunting 2023 with Bradley Gun Sales

One would not think, when looking at the unassuming pole shed on rural County Highway P in the Town of New Denmark, that inside lies a hunter's dream filled wall to wall with all their needs and desires. But for nearly four decades, area hunters have known Bradley Gun Sales to be just that and have made it their "hunting headquarters" season after season.

The Holiday Sale at The Mill Art Center

Come one, come all to a festive event that is sure to put anyone, even the grinchiest among us, in the Christmas spirit! From November 18 through the 26, The Mill Art Center will be hosting their annual "Holiday Sale" featuring a vast variety of Christmas decor and gifts from a wide array of local vendors.

Saluting our vets

On Friday, November 10, the students and staff of Denmark Middle School gathered with area veterans, their families and other community members for a moving annual tradition many look forward to year after year.

All Saints students learn about trades

At the end of October, students at All Saints Catholic School in Denmark were hard at work learning a variety of lessons about a variety of trades. 

First up, K-2 students learned about mapping, modeling and building when they constructed 3D models of houses using construction paper, complete with paper furnishing and decor.

Little Library gets facelift

"Open Season Feast - To Go"

This weekend, to commemorate the start of hunting season as well as to help secure much-needed winter funds, Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Denmark will be providing a delicious feast that is not your typical fundraiser meal. "Artistry in Wood" next weekend

Next weekend, a unique and intriguing event is scheduled for the large gymnasium at Denmark High School. On Saturday, November 11, and Sunday, November 12, the Northeast Wisconsin Woodworkers Guild will host their 40th annual "Artistry in Wood Show and Sale" featuring some of the top talent in the area demonstrating their abilities and showcasing their artwork for all to see.

Community Thanksgiving meal to return!

After a three-year hiatus, the annual Denmark Community Thanksgiving Meal is slated to return this year! Event organizers are hoping to welcome individuals and families in our community who are unable to celebrate a "traditional" Thanksgiving. These include those experiencing economic hardship, people without family in the area as well as those who are simply unable to prepare a meal for themselves.

Making a difference

Last Saturday, October 28, was observed across the country as "National Make a Difference Day" with volunteers going out and performing acts of kindness for people in their communities. In Denmark, this meant One Degree Youth Ministry's yearly day of service for those in need.

Denmark Trunk or Treat 2023

Last Saturday, the parking lot in front of Denmark Middle School was transformed into a fun and festive Halloween celebration. That afternoon, Devoted to Denmark hosted their annual Trunk or Treat event outside the school with hundreds upon hundreds of costumed youngsters and their families coming out for the fun.

Fiddler on the Roof this weekend and next

The stage is set, the cast is in place and the pit orchestra is fine-tuned for a spectacular performance at Denmark High School. This weekend and next, DHS Music Theatre will present "Fiddler on the Roof" in six performances that are sure to amaze.
