Do you have the "Best Lights in Town"?

Calling all local Clark Griswalds! This holiday season, The Denmark News is bringing back our annual Christmas light and decoration contest to determine who has the best and brightest local display. With this weekend's observance of Thanksgiving, the third annual "Best Lights in Town" contest is now underway with nominations being accepted until December 17.

Pumpkin Ball proceeds donated

This month, the Eaton Beavers, of the Eaton Community Baseball Diamond, were out and about giving back to others. Each September, the diamond is host to an annual Pumpkin Ball tournament with each year’s proceeds being donated to local non-profits and sports organizations. This year, organizers presented $1,000 each to the Denmark Fire Department and the Denmark Vikings Trap Team!

Jingling and mingling in Tisch Mills

On Saturday, the community of Tisch Mills got a head start on the Christmas season fun with an event that stretched across the town. That day, the Tisch Mills Business Association brought local businesses, organizations and residents together for the community's 5th Annual Jingle & Mingle which featured five unique locations to shop, eat, and have some good old-fashioned, small-town holiday fun.

"Motive" takes St. Norberts

Cooperstown Bar No More

Last week, a Cooperstown landmark came down with the demolition of the former bar building on the corner of County Highway R and Zander Road. The structure, which is estimated to have been built in 1874, has hosted a variety of taverns over time before serving as a radio station for the last few years. The structure was irrevocably damaged in a wind storm this summer.
