On December 20, the Maribel Lions welcomed and swore in three new members during the organization's annual Christmas Party at Gatherings 43 in Denmark. The event was attended by members of the Maribel Lions and their spouses and featured food, drinks and presents.
On Saturday, March 10, 1956, an extreme blizzard rolled through northeast Wisconsin blanketing the Denmark area with eight inches of snow, some of which blew into drifts as high as six or seven feet.
This December, The Denmark News organized our 2nd annual "Best Lights in Town" Christmas light contest to determine who has the best holiday display in the area and share their hard work with our readers.
