Of all the buildings in downtown Denmark that have stood the test of time, none may be more recognizable than the large two-story brown-brick structure in the center of town. Situated at the central intersection of Main Street, North Wall Street and Wisconsin Avenue, this building has served the community with a variety of uses for over a century with the parcel itself having a history dating back to the earliest days of the settlement.

Last week, we reported on the sudden possibility of an AI data center being built in the nearby Village of Greenleaf. After our story was published, it was revealed the company involved with the project--Cloverleaf Industries--had pulled all plans for the center in Greenleaf, presumably due to the rapid public outcry that followed the news. Still, many in the greater Greenleaf area are concerned about the issue rearising in the near future.

On Saturday, January 31, one and all are invited to Neshota Park for a one-of-a-kind winter event. That night, the Friends of Neshota will host their yearly winter night hike with hundreds trekking through the woods by flickering candlelight.

The Maribel Sportsman’s Club, located at 8824 WI-147 in Maribel, Wisconsin, is an organization associated with Wisconsin’s Manitowoc County Fish and Game Protection Association.
