WAUPACA – Beating the storms that were scheduled for later on Tuesday, the Denmark baseball team traveled west to Waupaca to face the Comets in a North Eastern Conference matchup.

Last Tuesday, voters across the nation headed to the polls for spring elections. Locally, voters in the Denmark School District were asked to vote on an operational referendum and School Board member while those in the Village of Denmark cast ballots for Municipal Judge as well as three positions on the Municipal Board of Trustees. We have compiled the results to share with our readers.

For the last three months, a small and dedicated group at Denmark High School (DHS) have been working together to produce this year’s spring play. “Play On!” by Rick Abbot will take the DHS Performing Arts Center (PAC) stage on April 24, 25 and 26 with a cast of zany characters attempting to stage a doomed play-within-a-play.

Last weekend, multiple Village of Denmark residents reported incidents of attempted and successful vehicle break-ins throughout the municipality. The Denmark News looked through these reports and spoke with Denmark DEO Deputy Pigeon to learn more.

Last week, Denmark High School (DHS) Musical Theater received high praise and recognition on the state stage with a cast member’s nomination for a major award.

The 2026 Prom Court will reign over this year’s dance on Saturday night in the Denmark High School atrium with the King and Queen being crowned at the conclusion of the Grand March at 10 p.m.!
