Every month, the Mishicot High School teachers choose one student in their classes that match the monthly theme of Mishicot’s readiness skills. Teachers analyze student behavior, mindsets, and drive throughout the month and choose a student they believe best represents the skill chosen.

On the morning of April 8, members of the Mishicot Business Association visited the School District of Mishicot to experience firsthand the creativity, leadership, and career-ready skills of Mishicot High School students.

Beginning in March, Matthew, a student in the Mishicot School District, began competing in America’s Favorite Student Competition. The winner of the competition is offered a spot in Reader’s Digest as well as a tour of the Planetary Society in Pasadena, California, with Bill Nye, the Science Guy. In addition, the winner also receives $20,000 to put towards further education purposes.

Students from Mishicot High School put their knowledge of government and current events to the test as they competed in the 2026 Wisconsin Civics Games on Wednesday April 8 for the statewide academic competition focused on civic education and engagement.

With baseball season now in full swing, I thought it would be a great time to share a bit of home-team trivia that I picked up over the offseason. Even the most novice Milwaukee Brewers fan can pick out the unmistakable oversized, mustachioed head of the team’s mascot; however, I bet very few are aware of the bizarre origin story behind the character.

The Denmark School District had embarked on a fast timeline when they began construction on the new middle school in 1992.

In their final game at Woodside Sports Complex at Wisconsin Dells, the Vikings scored 2 runs in the bottom of the second off an error and a balk, and those 2 runs would turn out to be all they needed in moving to 5-0 on the season.
