LITTLE CHUTE – A second-half run by the Little Chute boys’ basketball team was enough to hold off Denmark last Tuesday night as the Mustangs went on to a 65-45 North Eastern Conference win at home.
DENMARK – The night represented one final time to take the home mat for senior wrestlers while also providing one last chance to prepare for the upcoming WIAA individual sectionals.
WAUSAUKEE - Douglas Robert Lichtfeld, age 86, of Wausaukee, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on July 18, 1939, in Lake Forest, IL, the son of Richard and Grace (Harms) Lichtfeld.
Rosemary (Rosie) Teresa Meles passed away peacefully Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on July 16, 1937, in Hilbert, Wisconsin, to the late Victor and Veronica (Schumacher) Wolf.
On Saturday, hundreds upon hundreds flocked to Neshota Park in New Denmark to take part in a unique walk in the woods. That night, the Friends of Neshota hosted their annual Candlelight Hike through the park with adventurers from across the area and beyond joining in for an evening stroll along the trail. The Denmark News joined this year's hikers to experience this yearly winter celebration for ourselves.
Last Monday, over 150 people gathered in a conference room at the Grey Fox Bar & Grill in Mishicot to discuss a growing issue that has recently exploded onto the local scene. While talks of potential AI data centers in our area originated to the west in the Greenleaf area, rumors of such a development are now circulating to the east in the Town of Mishicot.
