MIshicot - Mishicot Girls Track and Field becomes Conference Champions for only the Second Time in School History

For only the second time in school history and the first time in over 20 years, the Mishicot Girls Track and Field team took home the 2026 Big East Conference Championship title last Monday. The girls competed at an outstanding level, with many of the girls trying events they have only ever competed in a couple of times or not at all.

High school students are given the opportunity to apply for many scholarships or additional programs throughout their time at Mishicot High School. Within this opportunity come great rewards, whether that is money or obtaining a head start on their pathway to their future goals. 

Mishicot - Mishicot FFA banquet celebration

On May 17, the Mishicot FFA Chapter gathered to celebrate another successful year during the annual FFA Banquet. The evening was led by advisers Mrs. Propson and Mrs. Koeppel alongside the 2025–2026 officer team. Members, families, and community supporters came together to recognize the accomplishments and hard work of more than 100 FFA members throughout the year.

MIshicot - Mishicot exceeds excellence in education

On Saturday May 16 at Kohler Performing Arts Center, seven Mishicot school teachers accepted the Eastern Wisconsin Excellence in Education Award. Each one of these teachers goes above and beyond inside and outside of the classroom to make a lasting impact on the district's students.

DENMARK HISTORY - Badger State Bank Acquired Land for New Building in 1972

In the early 1970s, Badger State Bank was looking to build a new facility. They had identified a new location a block away from their original building on Main Street, which had opened in 1927. The new location was at the site of the former Denmark Bakery.

EDITOIRAL - An extremely well-deserved retirement

This week, I had the pleasure of writing an article celebrating the impact and legacy of one of my favorite teachers. With his retirement at the end of this school year, Bill Dennee will leave behind a grateful and forever-changed district that will benefit from his efforts and talents for decades to come.

At Denmark, the Vikings jumped out to a 8-1 lead before De Pere cut the lead to 8-6, but the Vikings found their offense again in the bottom of the sixth and then kept the Redbirds off the board in the top of the seventh to get the victory.

Denmark dugout to be named after Heezen

DENMARK – In a post-game ceremony on Friday afternoon, the current Denmark baseball team, as well as former teammates and coaches of Todd Heezen, joined Heezen’s family on the field as they dedicated the naming of the Denmark baseball dugout in his honor.

Heezen, 41, passed away on April 25 of this year.

HOBART – After a long regular season, the Denmark boys’ golf team was so close but likely felt so far away.

The Vikings finished third at Wednesday’s North Eastern Conference Tournament held at Brown County G.C., seven shots off the pace set by meet winners Oconto Falls and one shot behind second place Little Chute.
