Last month, as he completed his final term as Denmark Middle School (DMS) Band Director before retiring, Bill Dennee was recognized on the national stage as one of the best music educators in the country when he was named as Wisconsin’s honoree for this year’s School Band & Orchestra Plus (SBO+) Magazine’s “50+ Music Teachers Who Make a Difference”.

On Saturday, dozens of bikers took to their motorcycles for a yearly trek aimed at increasing awareness about bullying and youth suicide prevention. That day, Brotherhood Against Bullying hosted their 7th annual motorcycle ride fundraiser with a strong showing of riders taking advantage of an exquisite early summer day.

Juliana Doerner, a sophomore at Mishicot High School, was welcomed home on Saturday, June 6, 2026, as a Track and Field State Champion for Division 3 in the 200m dash. Doerner is the only female to ever win an individual championship title at Mishicot.

Mishicot High School is proud to announce that 21 talented trap shooters will be representing the school at the High School Clay Target Tournament on June 6 in Rome, Wisconsin.

The last day of elementary school was filled with excitement, laughter, and special surprises for students. To celebrate the end of a successful school year, students enjoyed a live performance by the Kolache Brothers and a visit from the Sweet Escapes ice cream truck during recess. 

This week’s The Denmark News features our first-ever June Dairy Month section, highlighting the historical and ongoing contributions of our local dairy farmers. In honor of this occasion, for this week’s editorial, I would like to share some interesting facts about Wisconsin dairy and June Dairy Month.

All Saints School, which was founded in 1958, was originally staffed by members of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross. After being under their leadership for over 30 years, the first lay principal, Lynn Laundrie, was hired for the 1990-1991 school year at All Saints School.
