DENMARK – The Denmark softball team hadn’t given up more than 7 runs in a game since March of 2025 when it traveled to Kentucky for its spring trip.

Fox Valley Lutheran scored 7 in the first inning of Tuesday’s matchup between two teams ranked in the top five in the state.

DENMARK – The Seymour Thunder girls’ soccer team might have left Monday’s game frustrated with the fact Denmark thwarted many of their best scoring opportunities.

On Sunday May 10, 2026, our beloved Keith E. Rhodes, age 66, left our world to join his parents as our Guardian Angels.

Friends may join loved ones in celebrating Keith on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Road R Denmark, WI 54208 from noon until 4 p.m.

This month, the Denmark School District is searching for someone to step forward and serve an important leadership role in their community. Following the resignation of current Denmark School Board Vice President Paula Larsen, the remaining board members must now identify and appoint her replacement until the next spring election. Dog owners in the greater Denmark area may have reason to rejoice as the Village of Denmark considers adding a new feature dedicated to their four-legged friends. Among the topics discussed at last week's monthly board of trustees meeting was the possibility of utilizing an unwanted parcel of land behind Bank First as a community dog park. We sat down with Trustee Brandon Ackley to learn more.

Last Wednesday, members of the Denmark Historical Society took a special trip to Ledgeview to check out a one-of-a-kind collection showcasing our community's history.

For our next entry into our historical look back through the downtown Denmark of years past, we decided to turn our attention to the newspaper's soon-to-be home at 107 Wisconsin Avenue. The large building that stands on the southern corner of the intersection of Main Street, North Wall Street and Wisconsin Avenue is actually counted as two structures with separate addresses–105 and 107 Wisconsin Avenue.

Last Monday, Director Andy Pagel and the two Denmark High School Bands took to the stage in the school’s Performing Arts Center to present the final concert of this school year.

Last Monday, during their regular monthly meeting, the Village of Denmark Board of Trustees once again spent considerable time discussing issues with water flow through the Daybreak Estates neighborhood. The topic was previously discussed in the board’s March meeting, with board members expressing a desire to gather more information before a decision was made.
