After years of inspiring young musicians, O.H. Schultz Elementary is preparing to say goodbye to longtime music teacher Deb Mueller as she heads into retirement. Known for her passion, dedication, and ability to connect with students, Mueller leaves behind a lasting legacy in the Mishicot school community.

A large and engaged crowd gathered Wednesday evening at the Fairway Inn & Suites for a powerful and emotional Sextortion Awareness Community Event hosted by the Mishicot Police Department and the Yindra family, with support from the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

The Haven of Manitowoc County is a men’s homeless shelter located in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Guided by its motto of “more than just a roof”, The Haven is dedicated not only to providing temporary shelter but also to advocating for homeless men by connecting them with vital community resources and fostering a sense of dignity, stability, and hope for long-term self- sufficiency.

From Saturday night through Monday afternoon, just days before the first day of spring, a chaotic succession of extreme winter weather sent most across the area burrowing away into safe seclusion. For over 40 hours, a relentless cycle of snow, wind and ice upended normal business and created a variety of headaches and hardships.

Last month, the Denmark Community Cupboard (DCC) joined with 49 other area non-profits for 24 hours of fundraising in this year's Give BIG Green Bay. Prior to that, the DCC was also a featured recipient of this year's Doctors in Recital performance.

On Tuesday, April 7, voters across the country will head to the polls for this year's spring elections. In our area, the Denmark School District will once again be appearing on the ballot, asking voters to approve a $925,000 operational referendum to aid in expenses left over after state funding. On Saturday night, before this weekend’s historic snowstorm made landfall, 10 area young women took to the Denmark High School (DHS) Performing Arts Center stage to vie for a pair of crowns in this year’s Miss Green Bay Area and Miss Green Bay Area’s Teen competitions. Among the contestants were two locals–McKinley Sommer and Brittany LaCourt–both competing for the title of Miss Green Bay Area.

On Saturday, All Saints School came to life with learning for another day as over 100 people gathered to learn something new from someone local. That afternoon, Denmark Connects hosted its first-ever Denmark Teaching Denmark event for adults in the community, featuring eleven unique class offerings with something for everyone to enjoy.
