DENMARK – In case anyone has been living under a rock for the past five weeks, the United States hosted the World Cup soccer tournament this summer.

DENMARK – A game that started poorly for the Denmark Legion baseball team would end in jubilation as a walk-off hit from Cal Derricks would seal a come-from-behind win over Mishicot on Thursday.

During last Tuesday’s Town of Cooperstown Board of Supervisors meeting, an upcoming vacancy was once again a major topic of discussion. Last month, Supervisor Nick Propson announced he would be moving out of the municipality and would, therefore, have to forfeit his board seat.

Hi everyone! My name is Michaelynn Wotachek, and most of you only know me by my name; however, I have the opportunity to express myself as a contributor to the newspaper and share with you all who I am as a person so you know me more personally than just the articles I write.

Today is the day—July 18, 2026—when fourteen high school students leave for Italy along with two teachers—Ms. Koeppel and Mrs. Hoffman.

The sixteen individuals have been waiting for this trip since 2024 when it was originally planned and the students put in their resumé to be selected.

Hello! My name is Emersyn Greenwood, and I am an incoming junior at Mishicot High School. I am excited to join The Denmark News team and share stories that inform, inspire, and connect our communities.

Since its establishment in 2017, the Mishicot Indian Baseball Association has been committed to creating more opportunities for young athletes while building a strong foundation for the future of Mishicot baseball. Through player development, dedicated coaching, and community support, the program has experienced remarkable growth both on and off the field.

If there is one thing everyone who has driven around the Village of Denmark can agree on, it is that our roads need work. Multiple times a week, I see online and hear in person people opining the dreadful state of one roadway or another, many times with very valid points. This week, the Village of Denmark Board of Trustees addressed the issue head on, agreeing to take a more proactive approach going forward.

During the 1961-1962 school year, All Saints School started a teacher aide program to help ensure the academic success of its students.
