Last week, I attended a meeting of the Village of Denmark Plan Commission where members declined to make changes to current municipal codes to allow for murals. I must admit, I was quite shocked with their reluctancy, particularly after hearing their reasoning. Legion baseball plays today for trip to State

CASCO – The Denmark Legion baseball team put itself in a very advantageous position after defeating Kewaunee County 5-0 on Friday night in the Class AA Wisconsin State Legion Regionals.

The win puts Denmark one win from a return trip to the State Legion Tournament which they reached a season ago.

CASCO – This one was over before it barely had a chance to get started.

The Denmark Legion baseball team scored 7 runs in the top of the first inning and put a stranglehold on its Class AA Legion State Regional tournament game against Ashwaubenon on Thursday, eventually winning the tournament opener 12-2.

VOD Plan Commission chooses not to allow murals

During last Tuesday’s Village of Denmark Plan Commission meeting, members discussed potentially amending the municipal sign regulations to allow for murals, ultimately deciding to take no action at this time.

Fun and Faith in the Rainforest

Last week, nearly three dozen local youngsters joined together in Cooperstown for some summer fun and faith-filled learning. From Monday through Friday, St. James Catholic Church hosted this year’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) program–Rainforest Falls–blending a range of activities, religious lessons and a tropical jungle theme for five jam-packed summer days.
