Perfection! Rusch delivers perfect game as Devilbears begin playoffs

DENMARK – The Denmark Devilbears were 0-2 in contests against Kewaunee during the Shoreland League regular season and finished behind the Chiefs in the standings.

I-43 rest stops reopen

Last week, the two rest stops along I-43 located between Denmark and Maribel reopened to motorists after an extended renovation project. Although the sites are mainly utilized by motorists passing through our area, many locals have expressed interest in the project as it has persisted. We visited the new sites and consulted the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDOT) to learn more.

Devilbears fall to Casco, playoffs begin tonight

CASCO – In the final regular season Shoreland League game before the playoffs begin, the Denmark Devilbears couldn’t find a way to get past the Casco pitching duo of Owen Deprez and Colin Lacey.

Denmark FFA members explore Italy

Last month, several Denmark High School (DHS) students ventured across the Atlantic on the educational adventure of a lifetime. For two weeks in July, fourteen DHS FFA members traveled to Europe to take in the sights, history, culture and cuisine of Italy.

Prince of picnics

On Sunday, hundreds upon hundreds flocked to Willow Road for an afternoon of fun in support of a beloved local parish. Roostapalooza 2026

This past weekend, Rooster’s Coop hosted this year’s “Roostapalooza” featuring three days of music and fun. Friday brought a country bash with a performance from Nashville Pipeline (top), Saturday was a rocking night with Fine Line taking the stage (middle) and Sunday leaned into tradition with a performance from Denmark’s own Mark Jirikovec Combo (bottom).

Class of '76 Reunion

This past weekend, the Denmark High School Class of 1976 commemorated their 50th Class Reunion with a variety of festivities including a golf outing, tour of the high school and celebratory banquet at Susters.

Glenmore Board discusses manure pit regulation

During this month’s Town of Glenmore Board of Supervisors meeting, there was extended discussion on the possibility of removing the requirement for farmers to obtain a Certified Use Permit (CUP) from the town to install or operate a manure pit.
